By booking a guided fly fishing trip with Montana Trout Hunters, submitting your information through our website, or communicating with our team, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These terms are in place to ensure a safe, respectful, and clearly understood experience for all clients and guides.
Montana Trout Hunters is a veteran-owned Montana fly fishing guide service based in East Helena. We provide custom guided fishing trips on the Missouri River and surrounding waters. All trips are led by licensed guides who are fully insured and operate in compliance with Montana state regulations and river use policies.
To secure your reservation, a deposit is required at the time of booking. Your trip is not considered confirmed until we receive your deposit and provide written confirmation. The remaining balance is due prior to or on the day of your trip, unless otherwise arranged. Payments can be made by credit card, debit card, or check. A 3% processing fee applies to all credit card transactions. Guests may avoid these fees by paying via check.
By providing your phone number or email when booking, you consent to receive communications from Montana Trout Hunters. These may include trip details, scheduling confirmations, reminders, and promotional offers. Standard messaging and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP or contacting us directly.
All guests are expected to follow the instructions of their guide and behave respectfully throughout the trip. Safety on the water is our highest priority. Alcohol may be brought aboard by guests of legal drinking age, but we ask that it be consumed responsibly. Disruptive, dangerous, or disrespectful behavior may result in immediate termination of the trip without refund.
All guided fishing trips are conducted on a catch-and-release basis only. We strongly believe in protecting Montana’s natural fishery resources and preserving the health of the Missouri River trout population. Any guest who disregards this policy may have their trip canceled without refund.
Montana Trout Hunters reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a trip due to hazardous weather, unsafe water conditions, guide illness, or any other event outside of our control. In such cases, guests may choose to receive a full refund of their deposit or reschedule their trip to a later available date within the same season.
Guests canceling their trip are subject to the terms outlined in our Refund and Cancellation Policy. In summary: cancellations made 90 or more days in advance will receive a full refund of the deposit, less any credit card fees. Cancellations made with less than 90 days’ notice are refundable only if the guide can be rebooked for the same day. Cancellations within 7 days of the trip, or no-shows, are charged the full trip amount.
Participation in any guided fishing trip involves inherent risks, including but not limited to river conditions, wildlife encounters, changing weather, and physical exertion. By booking a trip and participating in our services, you voluntarily assume all risks and agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Montana Trout Hunters, its owners, employees, guides, affiliates, and contractors from any and all claims or liabilities arising from injury, property damage, illness, delays, or other losses.
